Granite Capital Investments, LLC is a privately held equity investor in investment grade value-add and income producing commercial real estate properties. Our focus is on the flex/warehouse/office and open-air retail centers in Florida. In total, we have completed about $300 million dollars in transactions. The current portfolio is approximately $200 million.
Phyllis McHenry,
Principal
With over 38 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, Ms. McHenry is a principal in various private syndications and joint venture partnerships in Florida. She specializes in the sourcing and structuring of commercial investment grade properties in the flex/industrial and retail sectors. Ms. McHenry has acquired, repositioned and disposed of single and multi-tenanted properties requiring creative value enhancing solutions. Leveraging an extensive background in investment analysis and underwriting, she combines the ability to evaluate the viability of investment opportunities with the attainability of disposition strategies.
Ms. McHenry is a graduate of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida & New York, a broker-salesman and a mortgage broker in Florida. Prior work experience includes BDO USA LLO (BDO Seidman) and Kenneth Leventhal & Co. Ms. McHenry resides in Miami and has one daughter.
Anthony DeRosa,
Principal
A seasoned veteran of the commercial real estate industry, Mr. DeRosa began his career by establishing himself as an expert in the 4.2 million square foot Miami International Commerce Center in Doral, Florida. Today he is widely lauded as the grandfather of the multitude of Airport West industrial parks comprising the 180 million square foot Doral industrial submarket. His professional experience spanning over 37 years includes full service brokerage, project management, strategic consulting, property management and development. Mr. DeRosa has developed a variety of projects, including multi-family housing, luxury high-end residential properties, office buildings, retail centers and most recently a new concept in the extended stay housing industry. With hundreds of millions of dollars in commercial production, Mr. DeRosa has been instrumental in shaping the landscape of the City of Doral.

As the founder and President of WestVest Associates since 1993, Mr. DeRosa has been a market leader servicing the South Florida brokerage community. He is a past president of the Realtors Commercial Alliance of Greater Miami and the Beaches, Director of the Florida Association of Realtors, a member of the Industrial Association of Miami-Dade County, the International Council of Shopping Centers, One Doral and the Doral Business Council. Mr. DeRosa attended The University of South Florida. He is a native South Floridian and has two children.
